One dissapointment after another

KUALA LUMPUR: PKR's de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has attempted to introduce Hudud Law by bringing the sodomy allegation made by his former assistant to Syariah Court, said MCA Youth chief Datuk Liow Tiong Lai.

He said Anwar should bring the case to civil courts instead as sodomy was a crime.

"DAP should make it stand on this as Anwar is trying to bring Hudud Law to the country," he said after presenting scrolls to Tunku Abdul Rahman College graduates at the college here Sunday.

On July 9, Anwar had lodged a report with with the Federal Territory Religious Department against former aide Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan for accusing him of zina (fornication).

The report was lodged under Section 41 Qazaf (false accusation) of the Federal Territory Syariah Criminal Offence Act 1997.

He said Anwar should let the police investigate the report made by Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan and not hide from it.

Liow said the wing suggested to the Barisan Nasional Youth to organise a road show to reveal the true colours of Anwar.

"We want to disclose the tricks used by Anwar. Enough is enough. Anwar should put a stop to his tricks," he said.

I am sorely disappointed with my new boss, he is generally Islamaphobic by the look of it. His statement implies that he doesn't recognized the validity of the Islamic Courts nor the outcomes it brings. Plus scaring all Non-Muslims out there saying that DSAI is bringing HUDUD to Malaysia; DOES HE EVEN KNOWS OR UNDERSTAND WHAT IS HUDUD? Apart from cutting up people hands and stoning people; I DOUBT HE DOES.

Non Muslims shouldn't be afraid of Hudud nor the law it applies too. There's nothing there to create suffering or wrongdoing to muslims.
