the most common question i would get every time i preach the way of boycotting those american goods that support the israel apertheid would be "whats going to happen to our economy?"

"yes what would happen to our economy?" i retort back

"well think about the jobs and money we'll lose if we boycott them."

i will pause for a moment and let that statement sink into the moment. i would look at them and i would smile.

"why are we so dependant on them?"

why are our economy so dependant on the american goods?

we don't have too, like what Farish Noor mentioned in his article, let our economy suffer if we were to boycott the products. it as this time of desperation will only we realized our own potential. the need to rise up from the economic woes and come up with our own model of fast food chain.

the consumer in malaysia aren't stupid. even though our spending power aren't as much as the singaporean when they come here to visit, but ill bet its enough to prop up our own market without getting bullied by the problems faced by our western friends.

my suggestion:

there is an upcoming fast food chain of Malaysian Home Grown Product, though i have yet to get the details of the restaurant available but they do, do home deliveries. if you haven't tried their products then you should! the beef patties are nice and succulant.

that if you would like to have restaurant kind of feel, for those who cant live without air conditioned environment with the same feel as MCD.

but for the normal joes who wouldn't mind eating of the streets, those ramly burger stalls are just as good. nowadays there so many of them to choose from, from Otai Burger chains to just simply Mat Rempits Stalls dotting the klang valley.
