b' d a y

last saturday was my housemate's 36th or was it 38th birthday, i don't know. he looks younger than he really is. thought of surprising him at home after his volleyball game with some mates, ordered some yummy cupcakes from my sister (yes it can be ordered!) and we waited for him to come back.

10pm ....

11pm....

and only till 12.30 did he reached home. by then ben was sprawling on the floor sleeping, farid was off in some distant land in his head while me and shahril were trying to keep ourselves awake with brainless tv.

sang to him the jolly old song 'happy birthday to you, you were born in the zoo... ' and he blew out the candles while still standing by the door. he pretended to act surprised with all this since he knew something was up.. ah well. perhaps next year will be a greater surprise that he'll get a heart attack :) .. he he ..
