The Need for Saving

Apparently there is a lot that needs to be save here in our little backyard;

Did you know that 10,000 people was displaced when the Bakun Dam was started and the State Government plans to construct 12 MORE dams in the coming years equalling to 50 DAMS all together at the end of 2030 with excesses of 600% electricity more that the state of SARAWAK is using. ain't that a mouthful?

Sarawak folks will be very happy as they can bloody well light up every single thing and plant a light bulb as flowers for all they care.

hoorah.

ILL BE 'DAM'NED.

this was all on Al Jazeera last night. i should really subscribe to that. where else can you get dam'ning news reporting that is both truthful and unbiased?

But thats all part of developement ain't it? kill everything on earth and makes loads of money. pollute the bloody land and at the end of the day you'll find that you wont have any clean place to bury your body except in a nice lined with soiled nappies grave amidst the landfill.

aint that nice?

besides why the rush to flood the lands? the ice caps are already melting, rising the sea level and we'll be under water in the next century anyway. like duh?

yes; dam(n) s are one of the greenest power plants but when the cost of it comes in the form of land clearance (decrease the land space for rain forest, depopulation of local flora and fauna, the displacements of the people) is it all worth it?

according to AlJazeera the Hornbill State already has 20% excess in electricity, like Duh again. do you need that much power?

the indigenous people, our people needs our hand in protecting this little heritage that we have. get all the money you want but at the end of the day, the only thing that you bring with you when your dead is AMAL.
